2024 Lenten Supper Series
Every time someone is baptized in the church, we all together reaffirm our Baptismal Covenant, professing faith in the triune God as named in the Apostles’ Creed, and committing, with God’s help, to a particular way of life befitting followers of Jesus (Book of Common Prayer, 304-305). As part of our 2024 Lenten Supper Series, we explored the shape of that life through inviting guest speakers to join us in reflecting on the five questions of the Baptismal Covenant. Below are the videos of each speaker we were blessed to have. Please watch, enjoy, and be edified!
Week 1: Will you continue in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers?
Speaker: Pat Stone, Spiritual Director and instructor in Spiritual Formation at the Stanton Institute
Week 2: Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?
Speaker: Carrie Headington, Canon Evangelist of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas
Week 3: Will you persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever you fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord?
Speaker: The Right Rev. Dr. George Sumner, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas
Week 4: Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
